The Sinto Group has set a greenhouse gas reduction target for 2034, the 100th anniversary of its founding.
With fiscal 2021 as the base year, we aim to reduce the Group's greenhouse gas emissions (scope 1, 2) by 24% in 2030 and 32% in 2034.
We also aim to achieve a carbon reduction contribution (scope 3) of 56,100 tons or more in 2030 through our customers' manufacturing activities.
To achieve its greenhouse gas reduction targets, the Sinto Group will implement these three Eco-initiatives:
The total amount of waste generated by our business activities is 12,520 tons for the entire Group. We formulate and implement reduction plans based on an understanding of emissions by region and by type. In addition, for wood waste, which is common to all business sites, we are working to reduce emissions by switching to plastic pallets for cargo handling and reinforced corrugated cardboard packing materials.
